Calamus Estate 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon
One of the nicest Cabernet Sauvignon’s Calamus has made from potentially the best vintage Calamus has been around for (so far). Mix of French and American oak (with 1/3 new French) and 22 months of barrel age has rounded out the fruit and mouthfeel. Aromas include chocolate, black raspberry, mocha and blackberry … tastes are varied and seem to keep coming with each sip: blackberry, cassis, vanilla bean, sweet dark fruit, white pepper, red raspberry … the list goes on. Drinks well right now, but can be held another 5 years. Price: $22.00 – Rating: ****+
