I expected a little more heft from a 2012 Franc but this organic and vegan certified version is much lighter than expected. Nose is complex with tobacco and cigar smoke along with hints of herbal, mineral and cassis. Palate is full of herbal and tobacco notes finishing off with spice and hints of raspberry.  Price: $34.95 – Rating: *** ½
