Cattail seems to be pulling away from the mass produced wines and focusing in on small lot wines: this Riesling is cobbled from their old vine plantings, it’s full of mineral, green apple, citrus pith and chalky tartness with good acidity on the finish where the talcy-mineral notes really come through.  Price: $21.95 - Rating: ****
