Re-Taste July 2016 ... two months later this wine has totally come out of its shell and now is an extrememly attractive wine and possibly has transformed into the best Tawse Gamay yet: black cherry dominant with juicy up-front fruit, dash of white pepper and even a little smokiness. This is a drink all day and into the night kinda wine. Price: $19.20 - Rating: ****+
May 2016 ... Tawse entered the quality Gamay field a few years ago and have yet to match the success of that first vintage – don’t get me wrong, they still make a great product but it’s hard not to compare it to previous efforts. This 2014 is light and fruity with an element of white pepper and floral (violet) on the nose … palate is fruit forward, mainly sour cherry, with good acid backbone. Price: $18.95 - Rating: *** ½
