This is the ‘second’ wine of Leaning Post in their Chardonnay line-up, it’s a mainly stainless steel aged white but is barrel fermented and spends 10-11 months on its lees in the stainless steel to add complexity – a lot goes into this wine, but you’ll get a lot out of it too … the result is subtle pear and apricot on the nose, while the palate shows a layered complexity and creaminess: fresh mac and pear with good acidity that comes across with some lime pith on the finish.
