The French oak version of this Strewn staple once again stands a little taller than its American counterpart (unless you enjoy the big brashness of the US barrels). There’s a delicacy here of peach and vanilla with noticeable minerality, apple and smoky notes that turn slightly spicy mid-palate with pleasant yet subtle toffee on the finish.  Price: $27.95 – Rating: ****
