This is one of those "WOW" wines that makes you think the world is a wonderful place. It's 100% Cabernet Franc of which 52% of the grapes were dried for 125 days in the traditional appassimento style; it's also a wine that boasts a pretty hefty 15% alcohol. Rich, thick and robust with plum, cherry and other sweet fruit notes, yet it all comes across balanced on the finish with plenty of finesse and spice.  Price: $69.95 - Rating: ****+
