The nose is melon and pear while the palate has melon rind, fresh apple, lime zest and good acidity, plus just a touch of vanilla.  It’s fresh and lively, which you would expect for a wine that spent a mere 6 months in older oak.  Price: $19.95 – Rating: *** ½+
