This is HMB’s first Chardonnay from estate fruit that was planted in 2005. Whole bunch pressed, unoaked, with a few months on lees – all techniques that have helped this wine along. Nice tropical nose with mineral notes that follow it onto the palate … fresh, clean and fruity – but it’s that stony-mineral that’s the real star here. Price: $18.00 – Rating: *** ½
