A straight Cabernet Sauvignon in 2011 was a risky move, but this one seems to have paid off. A hefty (for the vintage) 14.5% alcohol shows cassis, blackberry, cocoa and vanilla on the nose; palate has fruits of blackberry, cassis, vanilla and smoke with an underlay of charcoal amongst tough tannins … this one needs food and a couple of years.
