This one is selling out fast at the winery and I can see why. Owner Murray Wilson accidentally (but gently) whole bunch pressed the grapes and left a little sweetness (his winemaker quit just before harvest so he was left on his own to learn the ropes of winemaking) thus creating something rarely seen – a first time fluke. Nose of honeysuckle and orange zest with a slight floral bouquet leads to a palate of sweet pineapple and hints of vanilla cream that are fresh, fruity and lively. Good acidity balances the whole thing out … now let’s see if Murray can make as pretty and delicious a wine next time. Price: $18.95 – Rating: *** ½+
