Lighthall owner and winemaker Glenn Symons says this is the best Chardonnay he's ever made and I'm apt to agree with him. Nose is full of pear, lemon and mineral ... Palate also retains the mineral with good weight, peach pit and green apple puree. The wine spent 1 year in oak, some new and some older barrels, but it's the mix of 1/3 no oak, 1/3 oak fermentation and 1/3 steel fermented oak age that might really be the difference here.
