When you're the first winery in a specific sub-region (West Lincoln) you'd better come out of the gate screaming ... and that's just what Domaine Queylus has done. Hiring winemaker Thomas Bachelder and creating a Pinot Noir-centric winery, which is right up their winemaker's alley. For a 2010 this wine comes across as extremely feminine ... Aromas are soft and round with sour cherry, violets and raspberry leading the charge. Palate adds plum, raspberry-strawberry and earthy notes to the above yet all seems light, delicate and supple.
