Carmenere is a demanding variety and one that confused buyers and consumers with its diversity and while it remains a grape mainly found in Chile the push to make it iconic there seems to have been curbed, today it seems to be just another grape of interest. This version has plenty of red and blue fruit with a juicy structure, plus a touch of vanilla along with a mocha finish.  Price: $13.95 - Rating: ****
