There's been a stylistic change here into larger oak no toast barrels (20% of the wine anyway) to help soften the other 80% that's been aged in small oak barrels. They're really looking for a more fruit forward, fresher wine, and they have achieved it: soft and elegant with red fruit, red licorice, anise and cassis there’s some real elegance here … it is made to drink sooner but still has age-ability because of that acidity and earlier picking.
