Multiple layers of flavours and aromas are hallmarks of this 5-star vintage in Montalcino – big red fruit drives in first, followed by noticeable soft and easy to deal with tannins, then comes the chocolate/mocha, cherry and smoky notes – this one seems almost juicy on the mid-palate.  Rating: ****
