At 500m up the side of Mt. Vesuvio is where the Piedirosso and Aglianico that go into this wine are grown, an 80/20 blend aged both in steel and oak (14-18 months). Aromas of smoked meat, licorice and blackberry follow onto the palate where black cherry, a hint of cedar and some salty-minerality combine with the acidity to make this a very refreshing, food friendly wine.
