Erie Shore Vineyard 2007 Zweigelt
Zwiegelt is an Austrian grape that makes some pretty light and fruit driven wines that can have the characteristics of Pinot Noir. The Lake Erie version from Erie Shor Vineyard has a raspberry and sour cherry nose … the palate is bright and easy drinking with raspberry and sour cherry notes … almost rustic in its appeal but quite simple and tasty – a simple wine for those uncomplicated times. Price: $13.95 – Rating: *** ½
