Five Rows 2007 Pinot Noir
Five Rows Vineyard began in 1984 with the planting of, you guessed it, 5 rows of Pinot Noir; today they are up to 20 rows of Pinot Noir alone and their wines come from their own rows of fruit. The nose is earthy with sour cherry, raspberry, cranberry and some cinnamon-spice. The palate is sour cherry with red berries, cranberry tartness, and hints of spice along with a good balance of acidity and tannins. The wine is aged in nothing but new French oak and only 2 barrels were produced – or only 1188 bottles. Price: $50.00 – Rating: ****½
