Kacaba Vineyards has been quietly making good reds in good and bad years for a long time. They seem to get good concentration of colour along with fruit and barrel notes to co-exist in the bottle. With 2007’s vintage there was no doubt Kacaba was going to continue their string of success with more good reds. This reserve Cab is loaded with blackberry and black cherry on the nose; good tannins and fruit hit the palate with a nice ratio of spice to all that fruit. Price: $44.95 – Rating: ****
