G-wine fans, it’s time to let your freak flag fly, because this is the wine you’ve been waiting for. This one’s hard to describe to get it right, especially because this is definitely a more visceral wine than descriptive wine. The nose is sweet with lychee notes while the palate delivers big on peach, a touch soapy, and a good deal of spice. The acidity balances out the sweetness beautifully and it caresses the tongue on the way through the mouth right down to its delightful finish. Criminally under-priced at $16.95 but I’m willing to steal a few bottles, might I recommend you do the same. Sold out at the winery this one is only available through Vintages (March 5, 2011). Price: $16.95 – Rating: **** ½
