I’m not allowed to tell you where Huff acquired this fruit for their Gamay, but it does remind me vaguely of those early bottlings at a cult winery located near 13^th Street on the outskirts of St. Catharines. Nose is pretty with floral and cherry notes – palate is cherry, black currant and raspberry with some white pepper backing … refreshing, especially when chilled. Price: $24.95 – Rating: *** ½+
