This would be Thirty Bench’s 4th Riesling incarnation and its very first sparkling wine (though they have tried twice before to no avail). Made from 100% Riesling that rested on lees for 11 months than dosage with 2010 Steel Post Riesling; the bubbles are nice, fresh, clean, and crisp with a little bit of a toasty note … I expected more from this wine especially due to the pedigree of both Thirty Bench and being part of the Peller group of wineries, who excel at bubbles; but it’s still a good first effort and I expect big things from this wine in the future.
