Big Head 2015 Biggest Red

This wine should be subtitled “Togetherness” – because everything happens together here: co-fermented, c—dried, co-aged … a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon all picked the “latest”, spends 40 days on skins, takes 26 months to ferment in barrel, then another 8 just to rest in its Maldovian (Eastern European) oak home: cocoa, black cherry, plum and other sweet fruit notes are well-balanced with acidity and oak nuances … it’s rich, round and plush in the mouth – and really delicious.  Price: $70.00 – Rating: ****+
