I really liked the 2016 Chardonnay from iCellars, but I think I like the 2017 even better – quite simply I really like the delicacy of this wine with its lovely tropical fruit enhanced by a whiff of vanilla which greets the nose and then follows onto the palate. There’s also a smokiness and spiciness which combines with peach and mac apple on the medium length finish. Now before you get all turned off by the word “delicate”, allow me to say that while it is more delicate than the 2016 version, it certainly is as effectively good a Chardonnay as in the past, and that’s what makes it so damn good.  Price: $40.00 – Rating: ****+
