Well, it would seem that somebody gets County Gris and has learned to make something interesting, hello Hubbs Creek. Wild fermented, all estate, fruit that offers exciting aromatics, namely lime and apricot … palate also shows a fun depth of flavour with lime, green apple and a nice minerality along with balancing acidity, while on the finish there is a delightful mineral / stony replay - it’s made from 12-year-old Gris vines so this stuff is digging deep enough into that limestone and pulling up some of the good stuff. Possibly one of the best County Gris’ I have ever tasted. Price: $23.95 - Rating: ****
