Dan Sullivan continues to nail this wine – every time I think there is no way he can do it again he proves me wrong. 18 months in new French oak, seems like it should overwhelm the wine, but again Dan has figured out his fruit. Lovely mouthfeel with caramel apple, butterscotch and vanilla but also layers of peach, apple and pear … the nose matches the palate sip for sniff. Once again Dan’s consistency with Chardonnay is a pleasure to behold and taste. Price: $34.95 – Rating: ****+
