An odd name for an otherwise exciting wine. “Unmarked” gives the connotation of un-oaked, but that is not the case. In fact, there are 2 new barrels incorporated in, while the rest stays in stainless steel (18% new oak – all said) with 141 cases being produced for The Farm’s first foray into Chardonnay. It’s a lean Chablis-esque kinda wine that comes across like a Chardonnay/Sauv Blanc blend instead of straight on Chardonnay with lots of grapefruit, mineral, hints of vanilla and good acidity which helps to keep everything humming along … it’s an odd yet impressive little wine that still bestows some “wow” moments, including the price. Price: $22.00 – Rating: ****
