Long Dog 2015 Pinot Noir, Otto

Due to a damaging spring frost in 2015 there was a very limited amount of Pinot Noir made at the Dog – this 10-barrel output is all there was: 30 months in French used oak brought out sour cherry, minerality, earthy, strawberry and smoky nuances with a long luxurious finish. Nice to see James has finally embraced natural cork.  Price: $36.00 – Rating: *** ½+
