A new label here promises the Bella Terra quality in big bold print right on the front label, when it comes to Pondview the name “Bella Terra” has always been the name on their top tier wines … but this remains an entry-level priced wine that delivers great value in this iteration. Eight months on lees (lies – spent yeast cells) has developed lots of great character such as apricot/nectarine, peach and apple, plus notes of vanilla and a fresh, lively minerality … and pleasantly there’s even a hint of pineapple. Nice weight and really enjoyable. Price: $19.95 - Rating: ****+
