Another 2 years barrel / 2 years bottle Aglianico from Gregorio from a small 3 hectare pre-phylloxera vineyard; I’ve had ballsier versions of this wine, but the ’11 is all about the high acidity plus mocha, blackberry, cassis, anise and a long smoky finish.  Rating: ****
