My memory is getting foggy these days, after tasting so many wines I’ll admit I no longer remember them all – but I don’t remember ever tasting a better Fielding Syrah (but it is possible) … this 18-month French-American oak aged (33% new) baby is a real winner with textbook aromas of pepper, cassis and black raspberry … palate follows the nose almost perfectly only adding hints of floral / violets and ending with the trifecta of pepper / smoke / vanilla. Five years from vintage date and this is still going up. Drink now to 2022.
