A fruit-forward Merlot that is reminiscent of California, but it still has Ontario written all over it … cassis, black pepper, cocoa and spiced-blueberry should be enough to lure you into the glass (12 months French oak with wild ferment and barrel fermentation – 25% new oak); on the finish you’ll find hints of violet along with white pepper and cassis – good length keeps the finish replaying for longer than the bottle will be around.
