Spain is doing wonders with Tempranillo, this wine is primarily Tempranillo with a dose of Syrah (5%) aged in both French and America oak, which might explain that juicy mid-palate; there is a slight oakiness here, but there is also plenty of elegance and minerality – well-balanced and very tasty, especially in the dark fruit category.  Rating: ****+
