Hidden Bench has managed to make a warm climate wine with cool climate feel ... there's butterscotch, oak and vanilla with smoky-peach and spiced apple, but the acidity cuts through everything and makes that richness feel light and easy; but don't get me wrong, this is still a heavyweight Chardonnay.  Price: $29.95 - Rating: ****
