Chenin has been a mainstay at Big Head since their inception – and always one of their great wines. In 2017 50-60% of the grapes got Botrytis and Andrzej Lipinski ran with it in his “Raw” line: whole cluster, concrete fermentation and unfiltered: pineapple, lanolin, spice and even a drop of petrol (think aged Riesling note here).  Price: $45.00 – Rating: *** ½+
