Two things are fighting it out in the glass. First there’s the fruit: black raspberry and black cherry, but there’s also some gritty tannins trying to get in the way, and a juiciness that wants to come through – have no fear, it’ll come together with time. Also, look for the herbal note that appears just to make things interesting.  Rating: ****
