A proprietary (aka. secret) blend of 3 grapes that spends 3-4 weeks macerating and developing a deep colour before going into barrel for 3 years (just a little new oak here). It’s a wine that speaks to Tony Auciello’s (owner) Italian roots. Plum and black cherry are the fruit side of this wine, with big acid backing; the colour is bricky in nature due to the long barrel ageing and is subtly oxidative by way of dried fruit on the finish – this is one wine that is not for the faint of heart … You’ll need a love of Piedmontese wines or even aged Brunello to get this one.
