The name comes from a short form of Pomerol, where Merlot is king of the blend – here an 18-month in oak blend that’s heavy on Merlot (93%) with a dollop of Malbec (6%) and subtle drop of Cabernet Sauvignon (1%): a very layered wine full of dark fruit, most noticeably black cherry plus mocha, smoky and licorice.
