Sadly, the last year using Edgerock fruit (another Ontario winery will be taking it all). A 4-barrel reserve spending 24 months in oak, 2 of those barrels being new and of French origin. The wine in the bottle is one of those unforgettable wines (from a usually forgettable grape): big blueberry, smoke, black cherry, white pepper with subtle cedar and spice notes: comes across as a a fruit bomb with tannins that bite back (but not too hard) – a wine to enjoy over the next 5-8 years. Price: $45.00 – Rating: ****+
