There's a mix of mac apple along with both Bosc and Bartlett pear plus a hint of honeyed, peach and other stone fruits ... but it's the acid punch that shows up on the finish that helps balance this one out. There are subtle notes in the middle of caramel, toffee, tart lemon and spice, but then in comes some grilled pineapple and pear and this Chardonnay is back in the game.  Price: $36.95 - Rating: ****
