It is my feeling that Lift Haus is still trying to find their place in the firmament of Prince Edward County, and their wines reflect that hit and miss nature … everybody sooner or later finds their footing, it just takes some longer than others. This ’09 Pinot Noir I would call a minor hit for the Haus. Aged 16 months in French oak the wine is smoky with sdark fruit character along with spice and a definite finish of dark spiced cherry … my hope is Lift Haus has finally found their stride with this wine.
