For you unoaked Chardonnay fans this is a God-sent wine … not just for the price, which is amazing, but also for the flavours that make up this wine. The nose has hints of floral, honeydew rind, pear and grapefruit. The floral, I’m sure, comes from the 8% Chardonnay Musque that goes into the wine. The palate has lovely acidity along with the fruit flavours of grapefruit pulp, melon rind and pear skin. Nice complexity for such a bargain basement priced wine. Price: $12.95 – Rating: ****
