This is a pretty textbook version of Cabernet Franc and from the great 2010 vintage. The nose is smoky-tobacco, black cherry, peppered-raspberry and slightly herbal … the herbal continues on the palate along with coffee, tobacco and raspberry with a cigar box finish. This one has good character and is a great example of well-made Ontario-Franc. Price: $14.95 – Rating: ****+
