Once you've been 'Liberated' (the sister white to this brotherly red) you must be Defiant. And to do so you must add 3% Zweigelt to a mainly Pinot Noir wine. The nose is sour cherry, cranberry, blackberry and earthy with Zweigelt undertones (you need to try a straight Zwei to know what I mean). Palate is sour red fruit like cranberry and cherry along with black currant and earthy undertones. This is a smooth, easy drinking wine ... not as defiant as it is submissive to your taste buds.
