I tried this one during my recent tour of Niagara-on-the-Lake during the Taste the Season event. Palatine had paired this with an “Asian spring roll” (your choice of veggie or pork). Now that’s thinking outside the take-out box, so to speak. The wine went very well with this combination, but was also good on its own. The nose was rich with strawberry and cherry notes, while the palate took on an extra bit of flair with the addition of rhubarb to those strawberry and cherry flavours … not too thick, not too sweet, just right.
