In my opinion there are three consistently good Baco Noir producers in Ontario, and as luck would have it there is one in each region. This is Prince Edward County's addition to the Baco trifecta. Catherine Langlois has consistently made good wine from this most heinous of grapes and I must commend her for it. The 2009 has smoky vanilla, black raspberry and black currant aromas with a touch of residual sugar on the palate which helps bring out the fruitiness of Baco, making what might have been harsh leather and tar become vanilla and black cherry.
