I doubt that 2008 is going to be known for its stellar red wines but there will be a few very good ones that'll emerge, like this Strewn number. A year like '08 screams for blending and winemaker Joe Will combined 40% of his Cabernet Sauvignon with 30 each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. You'll find black currant, black raspberry and some earthy notes followed by good acidity that'll make this wine quite food friendly, ending with a finish that doles out black raspberry and some earth-bound characteristics.
