JL (Groux) has done it again ... taking the usually light bodied, refreshing Gamay and turning it into something big and bold, and at 14.5% alcohol this is a bruiser to your sobriety. Nose is ripe with lovely cherry and raspberry aromas. Palate continues in the same vein with rich cherry and just enough white pepper on the finish to make this one a sippable pleasure - if not dangerously delicious. Is it traditional Gamay? No, but what do you expect from JL. Price: $29.00 - Rating: ****+
