It might have the most boring and obvious name of any wine out there, “Red”, but this red-blend, which is Cabernet Sauvignon dominant backed by 10% Merlot and the remainder Cabernet Franc is quite smoky with mocha, cassis, black cherry, plus a little savoury-ness and some strawberry-tobacco on the finish. Only 5000 cases produced in 2014. Price: $24.00 – Rating: ****
